1-4 1st and 2nd couples set and cross over, giving right hands.

5-8 1st and 2nd men – and women – set to each other and change places, the men giving right hands and the women left hands.

9-12 1st and 3rd couples dance half figures of eight: to begin, 1st couple cross down and 3rd couple cast up (see diagram 1). The women have precedence in crossing.

13-16 Half reels of three on the sides: to begin, 1st couple cross upwards, 2nd dance down, 3rd out and up (see diagram 2). 2nd and 3rd couples end by circling into places (see diagram 3).

17-20 The three men – and women – taking hands at the sides (see diagram 3) again), advance (one step), retire (one step) and cross to own sides, giving right hands to partners.

21-24 They advance and retire again, then 2nd and 3rd couples crossover to opposite sides, giving left hands to partners, while 1st couple turn by the left hand nearly once round to face first corners, in person (see diagram 4).

25-28 1st couple dance a half reel of four with first corners (see diagram 4 again) and, passing each other left shoulder,

29-32 A half reel of four with second corners to end in 2nd place, own sides.

Repeat, having passed a couple.
