1-4 1st couple - and 3rd - cross over and cast off one place (2nd - and 4th - move up on 3-4).

5-8 1st - and 3rd - dance a half figure of eight round the couple above them.

9-16 1st - and 3rd - turn by the right hand once round back to own sides (9 ­ 12), then by the left hand once and a bit to face first corners (13-16). Meanwhile 2nd and 5th couples cross over, giving right hands (9-10) and 2nd woman and 5th man turn right about to follow their partners. Then (11-16) 2nd man casts off and 2nd couple end in bottom place, while 5th woman casts up and 5th couple end in top place.

17-20 1st - and 3rd - couples dance a half reel of four with first corners, who change places (see Fig.1).

21-24 Then with second corners (see Fig.2).

25-28 Then with first corners (see Fig.3).

29-32 1st couple - and 3rd - turn by the left hand and cast off one place on own sides (4th - and 5th - move up on 31-32).

Repeat, with couples now in 1st and 3rd places beginning.
