A 40-bar reel for 5 couples.

1-4 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th ladies with 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th men do half rights and lefts.

5-8 Dancers in positions of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th ladies with those in positions of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th men do half rights and lefts.

Finish in places below.

9-12 3rd man with 5th lady and 1st man with 3rd lady turn 1½ times right hands to change places.

13-16 2nd, 3rd, and 4th couples do a half reel of three on the sides. 3rd man gives left shoulder to 4th man and 3rd lady gives left shoulder to 2nd lady.

17-20 3rd couple continue dancing in the direction they are going, dance out through their places, 3rd man casts up, 3rd lady casts down to ends of set and dance up middle of set to meet while 2nd and 4th couples dance four hands round to places (i.e. 4th couple to 2nd place, 2nd couple to 4th place.)

21-24 3rd couple turn to original places (right hands 1¾ ).

25-32 5th couple with 4th couple, 2nd couple with 1st couple dance rights and lefts.

33-36 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd couples dance a half reel of four.

37-40 All turn partners right hands.

The Fiacaill (gaelic for arrow) is a sharp ridge on Cairngorm. It is one of the best escape routes in bad weather.
